AIDS Project Greater Danbury
A non profit organization that was founded in 1987 by Dr.
Donald Evans and a group of local residents motivated by extreme concern
for people living with HIV/AIDS and the impact of the AIDS epidemic in
the Danbury area. AIDS Project Greater Danbury is a non-profit
organization that offers many services to the HIV/AIDS community
including extensive case management, assistance with housing needs,
mental health counseling, support groups, financial assistance, HIV
counseling and testing, youth and community outreach and education, and a
needle exchange program. The AIDS Project Greater Danbury also owns and
manages a group home for HIV/AIDS clients in the Danbury area.
